What do Fareed Zakharia, Andrew Sullivan and Helen Thomas have in Common?

Let's look at Fareed Zakharia. During the Bush Administration, he wrote things like this:

"In the past two weeks President Bush has, for the first time, started describing America's adversaries as part of "a single movement," "a worldwide network," with a common ideology. He notes that these groups come from different traditions but concludes that what unites them--their hatred of free societies--is more important. This kind of rhetoric does have the benefit of making the adversary seem larger and more sinister, thereby drumming up domestic support for the administration's policies, but it comes at great cost,"

And here is what Fareed Zakharia wrote about Governor Palin:

"Can we now admit the obvious? Sarah Palin is utterly unqualified to be vice president. She is a feisty, charismatic politician who has done some good things in Alaska. But she has never spent a day thinking about any important national or international issue, and this is a hell of a time to start. The next administration is going to face a set of challenges unlike any in recent memory. There is an ongoing military operation in Iraq that still costs $10 billion a month, a war against the Taliban in Afghanistan and Pakistan that is not going well and is not easily fixed. Iran, Russia and Venezuela present tough strategic challenges."

Now let's visit Andrew Sullivan (and his silent partner, Conor Friedersdorf):

I don't think, if this is all true, that Bush therefore lied about WMDs. He was just guilty of professional negligence and criminal blindness on the most important decision a president can ever make. That goes for the conduct of the occupation as well, of course. But we had a chance to fire him in 2004; and we didn't.

And how can we forget Andrew Sullivan on Palin:

"It seems to me that if you are on record saying that your life is an open book, and you have a state-run web-page about your infant son, and your own children's travel is paid for by the state, and you presented your infant son at a convention televised across the entire world, and you sent out a press release outing your own daughter's current pregnancy, then it is not despicable, evil, vile or outrageous for the press to ask factual, answerable questions about Sarah Palin's experiences as a pregnant and non-pregnant mother and about her marriage and about her parenting of her children. Palin herself just said so, "

And here is Helen Thomas on President Bush:

"Bush also has been able to execute his power grab by playing the fear card -- and with hardly a peep from a cowed Congress. This tactic has worked most of the time. Now, fortunately, the administration is encountering some pushback from Capitol Hill, from those who reject the chipping away of our civil liberties and the tarnishing of our reputation in the world among those who once respected our leadership,"

And Helen Thomas on Palin:

"In addition to her lack of experience, Palin -- governor of Alaska for two years -- carries a lot of unexpected baggage: Bristol, her 17-year-old unmarried pregnant daughter, plus a gubernatorial ethics problem for ordering a public safety commissioner to sack her ex-brother-in-law who had been involved in a divorce battle with her sister. Palin also has some explaining to do about her good-government image because she has simultaneously deplored special interest congressional funding called ``earmarks’’ while hiring lobbyists to seek millions in federal funds for her town in Alaska,"

Here is the biggest clue of all, study it -- This is Fareed Zakaria talking to the Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations on CNN, August 16, 2009:

ZAKARIA: Your foreign minister, on the other hand, has at various points -- Avigdor Lieberman -- said that he thinks that they should move there, or some large number of them should, and has in some cases seemed to suggest that he favored the ethnic cleansing of parts of Israel, to move certain Palestinians into the -- certain Arabs, Israeli Arabs into the Palestinian territories.
OREN: He has never spoken of ethnic cleansing, to the best of my knowledge. He has never spoken of...
ZAKARIA: He said moving them...
OREN: ... moving them against their will. He's talked about border adjustments.And we all understand that, if there ever is to be a treaty ending this conflict, there's going to have to be an exchange of territories, that some territories are going to find themselves under Palestinian sovereignty, some points under Israeli sovereignty.There have been realities created on the ground, certainly over the 42 years since the 1967 War.

Studying the clues? Now let's see what Andrew Sullivan has to say about the same Country:

I thought ambassador [Oren] were supposed to smoothe over rifts, not inflame them. And I thought they were supposed to speak to the broadest number of citizens in the countries to which they have been appointed, not provide inflammatory rants to the already-persuaded. But this Michael Oren piece in TNR abandons any pretense of diplomatic balance. The premise of Oren's piece is that Israel faces a new Nazism represented by Ahmadinejad and Holocaust deniers but, to an even greater extent, by the South African liberal, Richard Goldstone, and the United Nations. Oren seems to be arguing that Gaza was a war of survival for the Jewish state and that Israel had no choice but to launch a war that killed, by one conservative Israeli count, 320 children, destroyed 4,000 homes, and up to 80 government buildings. Even if one is sympathetic to the horrific barrage of Hamas rockets that Israeli citizens endured (and what decent human being wouldn't be?) - every single rocket being a war crime - it helps no one to use language this extreme or to distort history in this manner.

Have you put it together yet?

Because Sullivan, Zakharia, and Thomas are Liberals who attacked President Bush and Governor Palin, (and Sullivan and Zakharia went to Ivies so they must be smart! /sarc) they were also free to attack Jews and the State of Israel.

Conor Friedersdorf is supposedly half-Jewish and he could have stood up to Sullivan, but he doesn't care.

Fareed Zakharia edits the International Newsweek and has a show on CNN on Sunday morning, who will stand up against him?

Helen Thomas was kicked out because she was detrimental to a Democratic Administration. It shouldn't take 40 years to rid the media of Anti-Semitic and Anti-Jewish haters because they sympathize with Progressives in the United States.

My question: What is to be done against Israeli haters Andrew Sullivan and Fareed Zakharia?

State Measures, Assesor, and Central Committee Endorsements 2010

As the ONLY Conservative Republican Jewish Goth Activist (TM), I must finish discharging my duty and give the final Endorsements for the June 8th primary for California.

Let's re-cap:

Governor Endorsement: Steve Poizner;
Six State Level Executive Endorsements;
Senator: Chuck DeVore; and
Congressional Endorsements for all of Los Angeles.

And as one the few States that are run by Public Plebiscite (which is a good thing, let the people speak), here are my endorsements for the State Measures:

Proposition 13: If you own a home, Office Building, etc, that gets fitted to handle earthquakes (an issue on the Western edge of the Republic, North and South) does not allow County assessors to re-asses Property values. Both CAGOP and LAGOP say "No,". I also say "VOTE NO,"

Proposition 14: This proposition changes the way primary (and general) elections work. Instead of two parties choosing their best champion, it allows an open Primary and allows the top two vote getters (even if the same party) to challenge each other in the General. Chairman Nehring opposes this, so does the CRP and the LAGOP. This is simple for me. Primaries for the Party activists or highly active in current events, November for the General populace. It has worked this way in Presidential Elections, why should California break that precedent? VOTE NO.

Proposition 15: Public Funding for candidates? Let's put it this way, if Senator Obama couldn't abide by McCain-Feingold, why should we on the Right not follow his example? Public funding is a fools game (Senator McCain and Senator Dole in their respective elections went by the rule, and both lost). CAGOP, LAGOP and I say "HELL NO!" Plus why put Political Fundraisers out of a job?

Proposition 16: Before any city or State takes over any utilities, the populace of said city or State in California needs a 2/3rd vote in support by the local populace. CAGOP: Yes LAGOP: NO. I say "VOTE YES," The public is always right.

Proposition 17: Makes it easier for Car Insurance companies to work with their customers: CAGOP: YES, LAGOP:YES. I say "VOTE YES,"

Now onto Los Angeles County assessor. There are 13 people running for this job but only one has worked with Chairwoman Barnett and shown up to ask for votes at the SFVRC. He sticks with the principles of Howard Jarvis and will help keep taxes down on homes. I support John Lewis Dortch.

Doctor Who - The Sontaran Experiment

Another in the series of The Fourth Doctor.

Tomorrow afternoon, I will be at a Pro-Israeli Rally starring Rep. Michelle Bachmann (R-MN)(also seen will be the Great Gary Aminoff), and tomorrow night, I will Blog my final endorsements.

I am looking for a local party to watch the Primary on Tuesday Night, if not, I'll Blog the CA Primary from home (But I trust the final numbers for Wednesday Morning).

Thursday, I will be meeting with Ryan Panzerello to discuss the Southland Fundraiser -- please say a prayer that I start work not long after at the Magnolia Office. I have called in my favors; I have a few Los Angeles candidates (all endorsed earlier) that will lobby for it as well. So, again, I need your prayers and support. Changing the world is a hard task, but as my late father used to say: You start where you stand. I stand in Los Angeles ready to promote Los Angeles Republican candidates. Join us.

If you want Peace in the Middle East, Give the land to Israel

Once upon a time, I believed in the Two State Solution for the Palestinians and the Israeli's. Then, with the arrival of the Harold Saxon Presidency in the United States starting in 09, the Triple threat of Iran, Brazil and Turkey working hand in hand, and the flotilla press attack, my mind has changed.


Let's have a little fun in the wayback machine:
The Oslo Accords in 1994 asked Israel to give up the Gaza Strip for "peace," Under President Sharon in 2004, the Israeli settler's were moved out. The Palestinians had the Gaza strip lock, stock and barrel. What did they do with it?

They sent missiles to their neighbor rather then building roads, schools and supermarkets, the Gazan Government attacked. Hamas woke the tiger up in 2008 - 2009 (and of course, Andrew Sullivan had no qualms about the missiles flying into Israel, just the idea of Israel defending itself was obscene in his mind).

With the Obama Administration foreign policy based on Nixonianism (and weakness abroad), other countries filled the vacuum. hence the tri-partate agreement. World War I redux, coming to Gulf states soon.

Now let's look at the current situation:


There are 22 Arab States where the Palestinians can call home. They can get out of the Refugee camps and make their home anywhere. The United Nations contributes to their cause, the United States contributes and Israel contributes.

With all those monies, a stable society could have been built and trade agreements could have been created. But it did not.

Let's read the charter of Hamas:
Article Thirty-Two:
World Zionism, together with imperialistic powers, try through a studied plan and an intelligent strategy to remove one Arab state after another from the circle of struggle against Zionism, in order to have it finally face the Palestinian people only. Egypt was, to a great extent, removed from the circle of the struggle, through the treacherous Camp David Agreement. They are trying to draw other Arab countries into similar agreements and to bring them outside the circle of struggle.

The Islamic Resistance Movement calls on Arab and Islamic nations to take up the line of serious and persevering action to prevent the success of this horrendous plan, to warn the people of the danger eminating from leaving the circle of struggle against Zionism. Today it is Palestine, tomorrow it will be one country or another. The Zionist plan is limitless. After Palestine, the Zionists aspire to expand from the Nile to the Euphrates. When they will have digested the region they overtook, they will aspire to further expansion, and so on. Their plan is embodied in the "Protocols of the Elders of Zion", and their present conduct is the best proof of what we are saying.

Leaving the circle of struggle with Zionism is high treason, and cursed be he who does that. "for whoso shall turn his back unto them on that day, unless he turneth aside to fight, or retreateth to another party of the faithful, shall draw on himself the indignation of Allah, and his abode shall be hell; an ill journey shall it be thither." (The Spoils - verse 16). There is no way out except by concentrating all powers and energies to face this Nazi, vicious Tatar invasion. The alternative is loss of one's country, the dispersion of citizens, the spread of vice on earth and the destruction of religious values. Let every person know that he is responsible before Allah, for "the doer of the slightest good deed is rewarded in like, and the does of the slightest evil deed is also rewarded in like."

The Islamic Resistance Movement consider itself to be the spearhead of the circle of struggle with world Zionism and a step on the road. The Movement adds its efforts to the efforts of all those who are active in the Palestinian arena. Arab and Islamic Peoples should augment by further steps on their part; Islamic groupings all over the Arab world should also do the same, since all of these are the best-equipped for the future role in the fight with the warmongering Jews.

The Movement's Essential Principles
Article (1) Palestine is part of the Arab World, and the Palestinian people are part of the Arab Nation, and their struggle is part of its struggle.

Article (3) The Palestinian Revolution plays a leading role in liberating Palestine.
Article (4) The Palestinian struggle is part and parcel of the world-wide struggle against Zionism, colonialism and international imperialism.
Article (5) Liberating Palestine is a national obligation which necessities the materialistic and human support of the Arab Nation.
Article (6) UN projects, accords and resolutions, or those of any individual which undermine the Palestinian people's right in their homeland are illegal and rejected.
Article (7) The Zionist Movement is racial, colonial and aggressive in ideology, goals, organisation and method.
Article (8) The Israeli existence in Palestine is a Zionist invasion with a colonial expansive base, and it is a natural ally to colonialism and international imperialism.
Article (9) Liberating Palestine and protecting its holy places is an Arab, religious and human obligation.
Article (10) Palestinian National Liberation Movement, "FATEH", is an independent national revolutionary movement representing the revolutionary vanguard of the Palestinian people.
Article (11) The crowds which participate in the revolution and liberation are the proprietors of the Palestinian land.
Goals
Article (12) Complete liberation of Palestine, and eradication of Zionist economic, political, military and cultural existence.
Article (13) Establishing an independent democratic state with complete sovereignty on all Palestinian lands, and Jerusalem is its capital city, and protecting the citizens' legal and equal rights without any racial or religious discrimination.
Article (14) Setting up a progressive society that warrants people's rights and their public freedom.
Article (15) Active participation in achieving the Arab Nation's goals in liberation and building an independent, progressive and united Arab society.
Article (16) Backing up all oppressed people in their struggle for liberation and self-determination in order to build a just, international peace.
Method
Article (17) Armed public revolution is the inevitable method to liberating Palestine.
Article (18) Entire dependence on the Palestinian people which is the pedestal forefront and on the Arab Nation as a partner in the fight, and realising actual interaction between the Arab Nation and the Palestinian people by involving the Arab people in the fight through a united Arab front.
Article (19) Armed struggle is a strategy and not a tactic, and the Palestinian Arab People's armed revolution is a decisive factor in the liberation fight and in uprooting the Zionist existence, and this struggle will not cease unless the Zionist state is demolished and Palestine is completely liberated.
Article (20) Achieving mutual understanding with all the national forces participating in the armed struggle to attain the national unity.
Article (21) Revealing the revolutionary nature of the Palestinian identity at the international level, and this does not contradict the everlasting unity between the Arab Nation and the Palestinian people.
Article (22) Opposing any political solution offered as an alternative to demolishing the Zionist occupation in Palestine, as well as any project intended to liquidate the Palestinian case or impose any international mandate on its people.
Article (23) Maintaining relations with Arab countries with the objective of developing the positive aspects in their attitudes with the proviso that the armed struggle is not negatively affected.
Article (24) Maintaining relations with all liberal forces supporting our just struggle in order to resist together Zionism and imperialism.
Article (25) Convincing concerned countries in the world to prevent Jewish immigration to Palestine as a method of solving the problem.
Article (26) Avoiding attempts to exploit the Palestinian case in any Arab or international problems and considering the case above all contentions.
Article (27) "FATEH" does not interfere with local Arab affairs and hence, does not tolerate such interference or obstructing its struggle by any party.

Now, please note from Hamas you have this:

This is what the Left supports? (Trust me, listen to Pacifica radio and it's All Israel's Fault, All the Time). This is what Andrew Sullivan supports (with no outcry from his protege).

You cannot have Peace with someone whose sole goal is to try to kill you. Any American President (or Republican nominee) who talks of a "two State Solution," will get a ding from me.

When Israel had the 1967 borders, the Arabs wanted it destroyed. When Israel won the Six day war, the Arab countries wanted to destroy Israel. When Israel gave up the Gaza strip, those same Arab countries stood by (and the Left remained silent) as missiles flew into civilian homes. Now that the Palestinians ask for the 67 borders (after almost getting 90% of what they wanted in 2000, but declined), it is time to wake up to reality.

NO MORE TWO STATE SOLUTION.

There are 22 countries for the Palestinians to live in, choose one.

Let me conclude with a quote said by two Israeli Prime Ministers, One from the Left, the other from the Right, Golda Meir and Bibi Netanyahu:

"If the Arabs put down their weapons today, there would be no more violence, If the Jews put down their weapons today, there would be no more Israel. "

My question: Knowing what you know now, what type of peace agreement would you make for Israel?

Why does Conor Friedersdorf care more about links from an Anti-semite then the Survival of the Jews?

The last time I engaged with Conor Friedersdorf, I argued policy (Support America's ally, Israel when under attack by his mentor, Andrew Sullivan), he argued about linking policy.

Now, Andrew Sullivan has attacked Israel multiple times since Memorial day.

Where is Conor Friedersdorf during this time?

His last post on the Daily beast is about attacking Mark Levin. (yeah, way to show unity before an election Conor.)

His last post on The American Scene is about Libertarians. Woo hoo! way to be brave./Sarc.

And finally at True Slant, he again argues against talk radio. (Another way to be loved by The New York Times).

Conor, if you are engaged in political Blogging, it helps to have a set of core beliefs. When I engaged you the last time, you argued about getting links, not the rightness or wrongness of your mentor's policy on Israel.

My Tribe worries about the next attacks, your mentor feeds the fire -- yet you choose to remain silent.

You supposedly have a college degree, why are you so stupid on this issue?

I've been busy looking for the day Job, but I will going to interview for the Dream Job (The Southland Fundraiser and New Media) next Thursday with Ryan Panzerello, the Political director of the CRP, two days after the primary. (Also note, I always start writing after the SFVRC meeting for the month, and you can find me at the LAGOP meeting too)

Memorial Day 2010

Today, we remember the fallen who have defended our shores.

Here is a portion of the History of Memorial Day by the Department of Veterans Affairs:

Three years after the Civil War ended, on May 5, 1868, the head of an organization of Union veterans — the Grand Army of the Republic (GAR) — established Decoration Day as a time for the nation to decorate the graves of the war dead with flowers. Maj. Gen. John A. Logan declared that Decoration Day should be observed on May 30. It is believed that date was chosen because flowers would be in bloom all over the country.

The first large observance was held that year at Arlington National Cemetery, across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C.

The ceremonies centered around the mourning-draped veranda of the Arlington mansion, once the home of Gen. Robert E. Lee. Various Washington officials, including Gen. and Mrs. Ulysses S. Grant, presided over the ceremonies. After speeches, children from the Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Orphan Home and members of the GAR made their way through the cemetery, strewing flowers on both Union and Confederate graves, reciting prayers and singing hymns.

By the end of the 19th century, Memorial Day ceremonies were being held on May 30 throughout the nation. State legislatures passed proclamations designating the day, and the Army and Navy adopted regulations for proper observance at their facilities.

It was not until after World War I, however, that the day was expanded to honor those who have died in all American wars. In 1971, Memorial Day was declared a national holiday by an act of Congress, though it is still often called Decoration Day. It was then also placed on the last Monday in May, as were some other federal holidays.

Doctor Who - Ark in Space

Sorry for dropping off the radar.

There is a lot of news that I have been involved with. I am still looking for Day and dream job, but there are two factors bringing the Dream job closer. But I am on the ground and the 'net, looking for the day job. Now the factors:

1) The lawsuit against the LAGOP is over. Robert Vaughn's group has to pay back Chairwoman Barnett and VP Aminoff's group. (Yay). Hat tip to Robert Stacy McCain for letting the country know.

2) Last week, I also spoke with Mr. Ryan Panzerello, current Political director of the California Republican Party, Hopefully we will meet this week to discuss how to help Los Angeles rise this tidal year.

My sister is in Europe getting culture (Awesome!) -- she will be making a cameo appearance when I bring up the Harvard/Yale choke hold in Government and and its discontents. Hint: She is neither, and smarter then most people who are Ivies. My mentors (Capitol Hill and Los Angeles) are also smarter then those with Ivies. Stay tuned.

Los Angeles Congressional Primary Endorsements 2010

There is one more post before the Primary, that one will be about the State measures on the ballot. Unfortunately, there is no one place at the CAGOP, LAGOP or SFVRC sites where the list of names for the State assembly or State senate seats in Los Angeles are consolidated.

Doctor Who -- Day of the Daleks

Hence the idea of the Southland Fundraiser and me working at the Magnolia office in Burbank to put it together. The Southland Fundraiser ties in with the California Republican Party's (and the national party in general) to have a connection with New Media.

How? Read on.

I've discussed the proposal with Matt Robbins and Matt Schumsky, both like how the Bloggers will be credentialed as reporters to change the battlefield of Los Angeles from non-threatening to willing to fight over (Check CQ Polls and RCP about Los Angeles, no one has noted yet). There is enough flexibility and expediency to gather our forces in a tidal wave year and change the game. I have been waiting since December 08 (in an email the Chairman sent) to sit down with the Chairman. Mr. Chairman, I'm still here.

Here is what Sun Tzu said about Energy:

The activists, Central Committee members and candidates in Los Angeles (ordinary forces) will feel they have contributed (and they will) to the Thursday night speech by the Speaker. The Bloggers (extraordinary forces) will get to know our people on the ground. And California will beat out 49 other states for funds because of this. The combination will be deadly when this is put on in the Fall. Because Los Angeles + San Diego + the 40 or so other counties will turn Red, Mr. Chairman, you will be a hero. Again Mr. Chairman, I await your call.

Here is what Sun Tzu said on Maneuvering:

Election 2010 is on. June 8th is three weeks away. I've been trying to get this proposal going since last December. As a Blogger, I understand the fight for eyeballs. I understand how important it is for an instalanche. The Bloggers are like the Knights on the Chessboard, they can attack and protect. The CRP establishment has yet to figure out how to bring in the Bloggers and Tea Partiers. As someone active in both camps, let me show you the way and we can take back Los Angeles.

The secret to winning the Southland lies right in Magnolia Ave. office. This is a campaign year, it must be weaponized. Even though the communications people are located in Sacramento, there should be at least three PR people (one New media, one former News person and one TV person) down in the Southland.

Why at the Magnolia office? Because when you shout in Sacramento, Our own people (who are already involved) hear the music; When they are based in the second biggest media market in the US, everyone around the country hears the tune of GOP Rising.

The Political director is based in Magnolia. Good. We have a structure in the OC and as of last year, we have a kick-ass team led by Jane Barnett and Gary Aminoff. Let them lead the way. The Southland Fundraiser can put Los Angeles in play; the OC people will do well in this tidal year. The OC does not need campaign consultants but volunteers and staff. Sun Tzu predicted the Los Angeles challenge centuries and continents away. Don't be scared of Los Angeles, let us embrace the challenge together.

Chairman Nehring, I await your call on when I can start.

Race, Rand Paul, and Republicans

OK, before I get onto the Southland Fundraiser, let's talk policy:

And what do I think about Senatorial Candidates Rand Paul's comments?

Well, one, just because he won the primary does not mean you go on MSNBC until you've been seasoned with learning to debate the Left. That means go on MSNBC in the Fall if you are a candidate (and even then go wearily).

Two, and this is the heart of the matter, Government can do good and evil. That's what Liberals don't understand. For instance, my dealings with Medi-cal last summer made my health situation worse, not better. If a Government (Federal and State) makes laws against a group of people, the Law has the power of the gun beside it. Not good.

When we are dealing with Civil Rights, there is a two sided coin now on display. The Booker T. Washington school of economic integration and self-support, verses the W.E.B. DuBois asking for freedom with help from the State. Because W.E.B. DuBois won the argument (and left the US), we have seen the urban ghettos rise in crime, but low on business' or possibilities of achieving more. Why?

I try to engage Ta-Nahisi Coates of the Atlantic when it comes to this issue, but I have never received an answer to this question:

If Conservatives are to be held for the sin of the 1960's (even though more Democrats voted against the Civil Rights bill of 1964 and attacked the Civil Rights workers during that time), what must be done to end the Blood Libel? Without answering, "be more liberal," what will it take for African Americans to look past the rhetoric of the Revs. Jackson's and Sharpton's and open their votes to changing two parties?

And to counter Mr. Coates, I then say, as a Jew, every Passover, we talk about how the Egyptians held the Jews as slaves. If you are willing to hold the Right for sins for which most of us were not even born, shouldn't I hold modern Egyptians under the same blood libel?

Or simply, how long must we look at the past before we can move forward together?

While I wait for that answer (again), my take on the Conservatives, Republicans and race is simple: I have been in the back rooms of the Republicans out here, I have hosted Robert Stacy McCain in my apartment, I know the Right Blogosphere and have mentors on Capitol Hill and I hear the same thing every time, we don't judge by the color of skin, but by the deeds that people do.

That was what Martin Luther King preached, why is color-blindness a wrong thing to promote?

Libertarians Republicans are their own breed, and sometimes they intersect with the tea Party. The issues are Economic Freedom for all, not race based on who should get the goods from Government (that's a Democratic party position). How this gets confused by the Left, I will never know.

When Senator Obama was running for President in 08, he promised a "post-racial," society, instead, every opposition to the Democrats policies means someone, somewhere will cry "RAAAAACIST,"

President Obama lied.

The Best Day Job for JSF

Since I have been out of work for two years, here is what I've been looking for:

A job in sales that is not just commission based, (most jobs I went to at the job fair today were strictly commission only) but has an hourly or salary is verrry helpful.

I can sell (just like my late father), I can write and research, and I understand the Legislative and Political process in Los Angeles, and California and Washington, DC (Lobbying is not a curse word for me, it is an aspiration).

I'd be happy working in a bookstore along Ventura Blvd or at The Grove. I would like to work for magazines, newspapers or new media (more on that on the Southland Fundraiser post). If there is a way to make money writing in the Valley (or get hired to write about what I like), I'm so in (and make a decent salary).

OK, that's what I'm looking for to keep the dream job alive.

Any advice?

Good candidates and Bad candidates on Primary Eve

First let's dispense with the bad candidates:

From CT: AG Blumenthal lied (See the memeorandum spread) about being in Vietnam; He was a veteran, he just did not participate in the war. Because AG Blumenthal is a Democrat, he remains in the camapign (unless someone "Torricelli's" him)

From IN: Rep. Mark Souder (R-IN) cheated on his wife with a Hill Staffer (another Memeorandum spread). Because he was a Republican, he resigned. Expect a special election before summer ends.

Now the good candidate:

Of course, he is based in Los Angeles and I know and respect him: Ari David for the CA-30th Race (does anyone have polls on any races in Los Angeles yet?). He tried to put an iPhone App for his campaign against Rep. Waxman and Apple rejected it! Gateway Pundit covered this too. Donate to Ari's campaign so they can fight the Machine!

The Valley Endorses Chuck DeVore for US Senate

Here is the endorsement for Governor: Steve Poizner;
Here is the Six State Level Endorsements.

The California Senate race is race was hard to pick due to an oversupply of richness. However, thanks to a tweet by my friend and writer John Guardino, Former Rep. Tom Campbell was out of the running early (and even more so after I heard him at the LAGOP meeting).

Here is the post I read that put Rep Tom Campbell outside my perception filter:

"Was he lying about the letter or inexcusably careless? Either way, he now has a burgeoning controversy that is not likely to abate. His opponents are certainly going in for the kill. Chuck DeVore’s communications director, Joshua Trevino, says to me of the latest: 'Tom Campbell’s credibility is eroded when his statements about his past with Islamic radicals are proven false. But what really erodes his credibility is the plain existence of a past with Islamic radicals. Campbell’s inconsistencies are a handy news hook — but the underlying problem is his lack of judgment in ever having affiliated with anti-American, pro-terror Islamists.'"

And when Rep. Tom Campbell was at the LAGOP, he had no fire in his belly to fight for his beliefs, either in the campaign or on the Senate floor. The best Legislators are fighters and Rep. Tom Campbell (among his many faults) is not a fighter. If he cleans up his act, he can work in a future Republican OMB office. But not under these current conditions.

Now, Carly Fiorna. This is where the embarrassment of riches for the California senate race comes through. She fights, she's a businesswoman and she actually campaigns (unlike Meg Whitman whom many California Conservative activists refuse to vote for even if she wins the primary), but there is one reason why I say no. (Sorry Governor Palin!)

Carly Fiorna was a member of the 2008 failed McCain campaign and that can be used against her. I would hope if she loses this primary, she goes for Feinstein's seat. Just not this cycle.

Now why do I support Chuck DeVore?

Like Vice President Cheney who was a staffer who became a principal (Washington speak for becoming a "face"), State Assemblyman Chuck DeVore came from being a campaigner and former White House Staff to becoming a Principal. There are Chuck stories everywhere around Los Angeles about the good work that he has done for the party.

He is a fighter (literally, in the Army Reserves) and in the campaign. As a State Legislator, he fought for his issues. He will be strong in the national defense issue against Boxer and the Democrats.

I shook Chuck DeVore's hand at the LAGOP meeting and he answered my question about how to reduce taxes.

The Valley is pleased to endorse Chuck DeVore for Senate for the June 8th primary and in November.

Returning with Quiet Feet

After the accident on the 405 South, it took a while for my hands to stop shaking. So, now they have stopped. Back to blogging again.

Here's what to look forward to (starting tonight):

1) Endorsement for US Senate in CA;

2) The new media and the California Republican Party office on Magnolia Blvd (Hint to Chairman Nehring and Mr. Schumsky: If you don't want the CRP Office mentioned in negative terms, pick up the phone and set up a meeting with me at said offices regarding the Southland Fundraiser.)

3) The Kagan pick and the Harvard/Yale choke on positions of power. When was the last Republican president not from an Ivy? Ronald Reagan, 1984. When was the last Democratic President not from an Ivy? Lyndon Johnson, 1964. And Former Governor Palin is setting herself up for a run in 2012. Not an Ivy. Which is the "party of the people," again?

4) I have been looking at DaTechGuy's Blog about how to raise funds (read link first before commenting) for my Tip Jar. If anyone has advice (Robert Stacy McCain I'm looking at you), let me know.

5) As always, Goths, Doctor Who and Los Angeles Republican politics. I have seen our candidates from the Water to the Valleys, and I would love for the Nationals to pick up on our great people. Doctor Who? Sci-fi geek from way back when (1977 to be exact). And Goths? That's who I am.

Six State California Offices Endorsements 2010

We are inching closer to the June 8th Primary day. There are six state positions also up for grabs:

Lieutenant Governor, California Secretary of State, State Comptroller, State Treasurer, Attorney General, Insurance Commissioner, and State Superintendent of Public Instruction.

There are 3 positions with only one Republican running, let's highlight those people:

State Comptroller: Former State Senator Tony Strickland of Thousand Oaks;
State Treasurer: State Senator Mimi Walters of Laguna Niguel; and
Insurance Commissioner: State Assemblyman Mike Villines of Fresno

Support these three.

Now onto the disputed Primaries:

Lieutenant Governor: With all the hassle the Democrats in the State Assembly and State Senate gave his appointment, there is no else to support but Abel Maldonado. Vote for him in June and November. He has a great future ahead of him.

California Secretary of State: Damon Dunn - A serious man who has a background in the NFL -- He is a future Gubernatorial candidate.

Attorney General: With former Governor Jerry Brown leaving this position, who is best to reclaim it? The Valley endorses Steve Cooley -- a local Los Angeles figure, he has done good work for us. The Southland needs representation and he is the man to provide it.

State Superintendent of Public Instruction: This position is about dealing with kids and schools, who better then a teacher? The Valley endorses Lydia Gutierrez for the primary and November.

Please vote for these great men and women on June 8th!

Do you remember this email I sent last week?

"We have many good GOP candidates (and good county officials, Jane Barnett and Gary Aminoff); will the Governor help put Los Angeles candidates on the map?"

Thank you for responding to that earlier email asking you to start endorsing some candidates before the June 8th Primary; However, in your loyalty to your former running mate (Fine in AZ, but doesn't carry in CA), you forgot your public.

My question: Which Southland candidates do you support?

Who was Missing in Times Square and the Tri-Borough bridge?

Simple question, complicated answer.

Let's go over the Dramatis Personae for Times Square:

1) 1993 Nissan pathfinder Vehicle SUV, where the bomb was put;

2) Faisal Shahzad, the bomber with ties to the Pakistan Taliban;

3) Lance Orton and Duane Jackson, sidewalk sellers who are the heroes of this piece;

4) Mayor Bloomberg, who blamed the tea partiers before the Islamic threat;

5) Contessa Brewer, MSNBC anchor who followed suit;

6) The NYPD, always getting the job done; and

7) Viacom, owners of Comedy Central, who show South Park which offended the Muslim community; Rather then stand up for Trey Parker and Matt Stone, their weakness made them a target on the same block as the Nissan pathfinder.

And the Triborough bridge:

1) Abandoned U-haul truck, and

2) NYPD, getting it done again.

Who is missing from all the characters? We have local people standing up and taking charge, but the intelligence agencies have gone silent. Where are the reports to the President about future attacks? Either the Obama Administration (and the lackluster media behind them) don't want to release them, or they were never given. Which choice do you think is occuring?

As long as the Democrats and President Obama continue to attack the methods and Modus operandi of our men and women out in the dark (that's why this Goth respects their work), keep a sharp eye. They are not giving this Administration the same slack as the last Administration.

Why Carnival Noir was a Success and the Southland Fundraiser will follow

I got to see Carnival Noir last Thursday night thanks to my friend Charly. Not only did I see her band play (and play well), but I saw how Carnival Noir's success mirrors the Southland Fundraiser/Great Right Wing Hollywood Blogger Meet Up.

At Carnival Noir, there were magicians, fire eaters, artists and in the center ring, Charly's band, Many of Odd Nature. Charly is one of the mainstays at Ruin/Malediction and her niceness alone brought at least 2/3rds of the crowd. She is a class act and I am proud to know her.

How does this tie in to what Gary Aminoff, Robert Stacy McCain and I are trying to do? Follow the notes in the dark and you will understand....

The Southland Fundraiser will tie in the Los Angeles candidates (at all levels) to hear a great Blogger who will speak at the end the week at the Reagan Museum (with CSPAN recording the action). The Speaker will be reported on by Bloggers who spent the week traveling as reporters around the Southland, meeting activists and candidates.

This event does not have yours truly at the center (that's the Speaker, Gary Aminoff and the Chairman), but it does have our Central committee members and candidates working their tails off in this election year. My sister's boyfriend is a great guy and he is a producer. His job matches what Charly has done and what I am doing: Bringing together coalitions to put on a show.

Los Angeles is not on any one's political maps (but you can find it on the Goth maps, point again for Charly). Here is what I wrote back in 2007:

Remember this equation: 37 Counties + San Diego + Los Angeles = California in Republican's hands.

Election 2010 gives the California Republican Party that chance to prove the theorem. Again, the event is not about me but about promoting Los Angeles and our candidates through the power of Blogs. And the funds raised for the Speaker event will all be local monies.

If Charly can put together a great show by promoting everyone at Carnival Noir; Chairman Nehring, Chief Operating Officer Brent Lowder, Gary Aminoff, Robert Stacy McCain, the Speaker (not to be revealed until Southland Fundraiser is a go), and I can bring Los Angeles into the political maps by working together. Los Angeles needs to be promoted this election year. Mr. Schumsky, please step up so we can all sit down together and put on a show.

Trust me, following Goths is not a bad thing, and following Charly is an even better thing.

I've been busy in real time so I haven't had time to Blog.

I will not hit the Bomber in Times Square story yet, there is a piece I've noticed, so I'm going to follow up on it later this week. I still owe the other two parts of Anger in America and the Southland Fundraiser update. The latter is next.
